Google Business Profile Is Your #1 Asset
Your Google Business Profile (GBP) matters more than your website for local rankings. Keep it updated weekly: post photos of completed jobs, respond to reviews within 24 hours, update your hours, and use the Q&A section. Businesses that update their GBP weekly rank 28% higher than those that set it and forget it.
Content That Ranks
The days of writing 300-word blog posts stuffed with keywords are over. What works now:
- Location-specific service pages ("Emergency Plumber in [City]")
- In-depth guides (1,200+ words) answering real customer questions
- FAQ pages that target voice search queries
- Before/after case studies from real jobs
